Wuthering Heights, is an attempt to create an all male version of the classic Emily Bronte novel that was written in 1847, directed by myself, and made in collaboration with four other men. It is an ambitious, experimental and investigative piece of performance work that draws upon many themes and issues raised within Wuthering Heights the novel, and links them to modern personal experiences of masculinity, told by the performers of the work. At its core the aim of the project is to develop a deep understanding of, and meaningful contribution to modern masculinist discourse, while at the same time, attempting to create a like for like re-creation of the seminal Bronte text.
Wuthering Heights is currently being made in collaboration with Nicholas Anderson (amplifier), Chris Hall, Murray Wason and Thom Scullion.
