'we share air' is a solo process driven performance that examined the relationships between people living with and without each other. With a clear enquiry into the origins of the planet, we share air ends up in the present moment, having gone through the history of the earth, how it was formed, how the oceans were formed and how we all come from the seas.
It takes its own time in trying to understand why some of us feel isolated and lonely in the dawning of the 21st century.
Melancholy sits next to beauty in this intricate and detailed performance that celebrates the beauty of the natural world while posing the question, I wonder if youve noticed this coming to an end?
This piece of work was developed for my 4th year performance at the RSAMD, and subsequently was re-performed at New Works New Worlds festival Glasgow and The Graduates Festival
at Battersea Arts Centre, London.
